Thank you for visiting Hokins Photography

A resident of New Jersey residing in Sussex County for many years. Arnie's passion for photography began when he received a 35mm Asahi Pentax Spotmatic as a gift. He was stationed in Europe while in the military.
Everywhere he went there was a photo opportunity, whether it was the Alte Schloss (Old Castle) or Alte Bruecke (The Old Bridge) in Heidelberg, Germany, looking over the Berlin Wall in West Berlin, at the place where President John F. Kennedy gave his ‘Ich bin eine Berliner’ (‘I am a Berliner’) speech, Berchtesgaden - the Eagles Nest, in Bavaria, southern Germany, touring Millesgarden, Stockholm, Sweden, and the many other of the 13 countries that he visited during his tour of duty. He also visited many locations while in South Vietnam and Hong Kong.
Arnie was raised in Clifton, New Jersey where he began an interest in rose gardening while tending to the gardens at the family’s home. He has continued that interest in rose gardening at his present home where he has more than 14 varieties of rose bushes as well as all types of flowers, which he uses in the pursuit of macro or close-up photography where the image projected is the same size as the object.
Arnie also does landscape, event, portrait photography and has recently acquired a skill for restoration of all types of pictures. The use of two photographers on an as needed basis enhances the complete coverage of many events. This allows for a combined but separate perspective of the whole event such as a wedding with its many facets.
There are so many ways to enjoy this world we live in and Arnie's main goal is to “Capture God’s Beauty in Nature” wherever it may be found.
The equipment Arnie uses is a variety of Canon cameras and lenses along with the tripods, filters and other accessories used to maximize the quality of the finished image. He uses Hewlett Packard printers for standard size images and can have images printed in most any size. There will be a small charge for postage and packaging, which we will confirm with you before an order is sent. Prints can be ordered un-matted, matted, or fully framed. Acid–free archival mat board is used for all matted prints, and the print is backed with 5mm foam board ready for framing.
